Celebrity Trainer Harley Pasternak Reveals How the Right Outfit Can Enhance Your Sweat Sessions

Fashion meets fitness! Celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak sat down with ET to share simple ways to take your workouts to the next level, and surprisingly, it all starts with your outfit.

The fitness guru, whose star-studded roster includes Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Rihanna, Megan Fox, Adele, and Katy Perry revealed how the right wardrobe can work out with you while celebrating the opening of Vuori Studio by Harley Pasternak in Los Angeles, California.

“Vuori Studio is designed to be a fully immersive and elevated experience,” he says. “It’s a private, VIP training and recovery space where my clients, brand partners, and athletes can come to move, recharge, and feel their best. We’ve integrated best-in-class equipment with their innovative apparel, so it’s more than just working out.”

And, according to Pasternak, your ‘fit can fuel your fitness from the moment you step into the space.

“What you wear impacts how you move and how you feel. … When you feel good in your clothes and they fit right, move with you, and reflect your personal style it shows. You walk into a gym with a different mindset.”

Sporting proper attire also allows Pasternak to teach his A-list approved technique — rooted in science and sustainability — to the fullest extent.

“Great apparel helps you focus on the work, not what you’re wearing. … It gives you the flexibility and support you need during a workout, without distraction,” The Carb Reset author explains.

But your wardrobe is just the beginning. For Pasternak, lasting results come down to healthy habits woven into your daily grind.

“Whether you’re on a movie set, or behind a desk, it’s about building routines that enhance your life, not overwhelm it. … My clients are busy, often traveling, and need programs that are effective, but realistic. I give them the tools to stay healthy no matter where they are or how full their schedule gets,” he notes.

Some of those strategies include walking every day, eating balanced meals, and prioritizing sleep.

“What you do between workouts often matters more than the workout itself. … It’s usually the small things, done consistently, that create the biggest changes,” the nutritionist notes.

“Getting outside and moving regularly, using the PATH method (Palm of carbs, All the veggies, Thumb of fat, Hand of protein), and staying off your phone before bed can do more than any fancy trend,” the public speaker shares.
