Mingus Reedus is in trouble with the law.
The son of superstars Norman Reedus and Helena Christensen was arrested in New York City on Aug. 23, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) confirmed to People, and has since been charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and assault.
According to the NYPD, authorities “observed a 33-year-old female with minor injuries to [her] neck and leg” after arriving on the scene near 16th Street and 8th Avenue, per the outlet. Mingus, 25, was taken into custody and an investigation remains ongoing.
Authorities also added, per the outlet, that “EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.”
E! News has reached out to Mingus’ reps for comment but has not heard back.
Mingus’ recent arrest comes nearly four years after he was previously arrested for assaulting a woman during the San Gennaro festival in the city’s Little Italy district. (In March 2022, Mingus ultimately accepted a plea deal for the lesser charge of disorderly conduct.)
According to the NYPD at the time, authorities responded to a 911 call regarding an assault that occurred around Mulberry Street and Baxter Street near the 5th Precinct.
